Do I have to take formal-wear on Disney cruise if I'm not eating at the adult-exclusive restaurants?

My husband and I are going on a Disney Cruise in September. We are not planning on eating at Palo. Do we have to take formal clothing for any of the other restaurants? I know you are not supposed to wear shorts or flip flops, but are jeans and a nice shirt ok?
