Pain management questions. Too many?

My DR referred me off to a pain clinic. I had an accident in 2009, been to neurosurgeon , have Mris, in PT, have PT assessment. Dr had me on lortabs, then discharged ALL narcotic patients and went into urgent care My quality of life sucks for me, even taking the lortabs..4 yrs on same medicine and my family being in constant pain. I need to talk email chat with people on the up and up who have entered into pain management in the past few years..and who have had decent experience, life changing I know it's gotten more rigid about my fears condition and how to talk to Drs. I'm very timid. My appt is this Monday and I can't relive how hellish it's been without crying. Etc no little league for kids this year. I tried last year. I don't want to sound desperate but that's exactly how I feel
