Why does life treat me like ****?

Hun, you are not alone. I have problems in my life that I do not wish to share on the internet. Many people do. I know you don't want to be told what to do, but if your husband is not going to get his act together, I think you should not be with your husband anymore. I know you probably love him and everything, but he is not treating you right. Also, he is letting his mother treat you bad. There are better men out there. He should be trying to make things better for you, not worse. He should defend you against his mother. If you choose to stay with him, you don't need to let your parents make decisions for you two.
